Our 2024 Rankings!13th December 2023 • 2 min read • Chris McAvoy
Building on last year’s success, the People Legal team are delighted to share their upcoming rankings for 2024.
The Legal 500 is a global legal directory that offers an independent guide to the best lawyers and law firms in the UK. Every year, Legal 500 publishes ‘rankings’ based on a variety of different elements, including client feedback.
For 2024, People Legal has been recognised as a Tier 2 firm in Legal 500’s North West category for Employment: Employees/Union Firms.
We are described as “formidable at entering mediation with employers and their counsels, routinely achieving positive outcomes”.
People Legal have also received a ranking in Legal 500’s North West general Employment category. This describes our work undertaken for small businesses and start-ups, acknowledging that we have “a portfolio of matters across a range of sectors pertaining to TUPE advice, redundancy processes, workplace discrimination and harassment issues, as well as a solid body of litigation work”.
Next Generation Partner
Founder, Chris McAvoy-Newns, was also recognised as a Next Generation Partner. Chris received the following specific mention: “Chris McAvoy-Newns is an experienced litigator and has been involved in a wide range of complex Employment Tribunal claims and has established strength in advising employees on worker status issues, restricting, and change of management programmes.”
To add to this achievement, Chris has been commended in Chambers rankings, in their North West Employment category. Chambers undergo a rigorous, independent and in-depth research process and are notorious within the sector for being a prestigious legal directory.
This success is a testament to the People Legal team, as well as the quality of their skills and expertise.
